PORTUGAL BOWLING TOUR 2009
Hoilday Update
From Mavis Barratt Tour Organiser
ROTHLEY/SYSTON HOLIDAY NEWSLETTER
April 2009
Well hope you have settled back in the real world after having a good holiday.
Many thanks for the wonderful gift you bought me I used it on Sunday the day after we returned when I went on a 6 mile walk it held everything that I required on the walk.
Other than a few mishaps that caused one or two of you some discomfort it went reasonably well. I think we all agree that the journeys to the different bowling clubs were a little too long something that was out of our control. Ron explained that they were the nearest to where we were staying, however next time we have been given the information before deciding which hotel we prefer
I will still use Jack High as in the main they did a reasonable job for us particularly with the arrangements and the changes that we made to the booking before the holiday that were handled very efficiently. If we change to another tour operator we have to get to know how they operate and there are not many that specialise in bowling holidays.
I would like to thank you for taking time to fill out the questionnaire it has proved very useful and the results are as follows:
Destination Spain-Almeria (60%) (maximum travelling time matches 35mins)
Portugal-Travira (25%)
Others (15%)
8 days March/April
Number of matches' majority 4 some 3 which if we know before hand we can arrange them to suit the individuals.
I know it is a little early but I am going to get some idea of costs for next year and let you know recognising that holidays are expensive because of the exchange rate.
The match secretaries of the two clubs will be arranging a game between the two clubs which will be held at Syston this year. This invitation will be open to all members of both clubs.
Thanks again for your company and for making my holiday something special.
